A sofa bed by the bins and four days of footage

A housing estate office has no control room with screens. There is one person who, between invoices and the residents’ meeting, is supposed to work out who left a sofa bed by the bin shelter. The surveillance system saw it. Except no one has four days to watch it.

Small matters, but daily ones

The report comes in after two days. No one knows the time. The recorder is operated with a remote. In practice, most such cases end with the sentence “could not be determined”, and the cost lands in the community’s budget.

Who dumped the bulky waste

An extra collection of furniture and rubble costs money, and all the residents pay for it. Often the culprit is not a neighbour but a renovation crew from another district that pulled up in a van in the evening. Instead of watching night after night, you type:

and you get every such stop from the last few days, with the time and the direction of approach. Municipalities have been doing this for years with trail cameras: in Sopot the city guard has three such devices, and one round of checks ended with seven fines and five cautions. There, though, someone still has to review each photo by hand.

Did the garbage truck really come on Wednesday

The waste company says it did. The residents say the containers are still full. One question to the system settles the dispute: when a truck appeared at the shelter and how long it stood there. You get the time and the frame, which you can attach to a complaint.

The fire lane

Everyone knows about a blocked fire lane until the fire brigade turns up. We mark the zone and set the time after which a stop stops being “just for a moment”.

Parking damage

A resident only knows that the car had been there since Friday. A description of the vehicle and the spot narrows dozens of hours of footage down to a few clips, which can be watched in a quarter of an hour and handed to the insurer.

What you get

Savings

Fewer extra collections at the community’s expense. The manager spends a quarter of an hour on the case, not two afternoons.

Revenue

A documented complaint against the waste company and the option to charge the culprit for the cost of the collection.

Safety

A clear fire lane when it is needed, not only after an intervention.

Residents will ask about privacy

Xentim does not expand the surveillance the community has already approved. It shortens the time needed to make use of it.

This is a deployment scenario. We set the rules on your cameras and verify them during a two-week trial, on real footage, at different times of day. Only then do we tell you what works and how well.
