What it is

What is the Fire and Smoke Detection Dataset?

The Xentim Fire and Smoke Detection Dataset is a synthetic CCTV video dataset for training fire and smoke detectors. The Starter pack holds 89 clips and 10,822 annotated frames with boxes in COCO and YOLO formats, covering day, night and infrared, and labels steam and fog separately from smoke.

Fewer unwanted alarms.

Steam and fog carry their own label, so they can train the detector instead of triggering it.

Test scenes stay unseen.

Train, validation and test are split by location.

Ready for common detectors.

Boxes come in COCO and YOLO formats.

When will it be available?

The pack is being updated. Write to us and we will tell you when it is ready.

Why label steam and fog?

Steam and fog can look like smoke to a detector. Labelling them separately helps a model tell them apart, so operators see fewer unwanted alarms.

Which formats are included?

Boxes in COCO and YOLO formats, with video clips at 16 fps.

Can I test it before buying?

Yes. Each dataset has a free sample and a datasheet, so you can check the format and labels on your own model first.

How do I order?

Choose a licence and send us your order. We reply with an order form and invoice, you pay by bank transfer, SEPA or card, and we send a secure download link within 3 business days of payment.

What if the data does not match the datasheet?

Tell us within 30 days of delivery. We correct the dataset or, if we cannot, refund the fee against deletion of all copies.

Test it on your model first.

The sample is free. If the data does not match its datasheet, you have 30 days to tell us.
